Bristol Police Seek ID of Break-In Suspect
Police said the suspect broke into a Hope Street building, encountered an employee working late, said "cleaning crew" and fled.
BRISTOL, RI—Bristol police are investigating a break-in at the Social Services and Public Welfare building on Hope Street during which the suspect encountered an employee working late, said "cleaning crew" and abruptly left.
The incident happened on July 1 at around 6:13 p.m., police said.
Security cameras recorded the suspect enter the building through an unlocked door. He then covered a camera with something, police said, went to the second floor, broke open a door leading to the business offices and encountered the employee.

It does not appear that anything was stolen, police said.
The suspect is described as a slim black man standing about 6 feet tall. He was wearing light shorts and a white shirt with black triangle-like shapes.
