BRISTOL, RI—A Bristol woman will finally be able to buy a home with a back yard suitable for her children—and dog—after winning $100,000 with a lucky scratch-off ticket.
Denise Allard claimed the last remaining $100,000 winning “Rhode Island Red” instant ticket on Monday, telling lottery officials that she will use the money to buy a house.
“She said it will be wonderful to have a backyard for her children and their dog,” the Rhode Island Lottery Commission said in a news release.
