Caribbean Bar & Grill Eyes Vacant Restaurant
Owner of Aruba Steve's Island Bar & Grill in Providence wants to open a second RI location in Warren.

Caribbean food, cocktails and music in downtown Warren?
It could happen early next year. A new bar and grill, Aruba Steve’s Island Bar and Grill, has set its sights on the former India restaurant at 520 Main St. next to Town Hall.
The Town Council gave restaurateur Steven Correa victualing and entertainment licenses on Tuesday, Nov. 12. A public hearing on his request for a full liquor license is being scheduled for the December meeting.

Correa already operates Aruba Steve’s at 79 Dorrance St. in Providence. He has signed a purchase and sale agreement for the former India building, which has been vacant and up for sale for several years. The large banner advertising the building for sale by a "motivated seller" has been pulled down.
Correa also has operated several restaurants on Aruba, including Smokey Joe’s. His website describes his Providence restaurant as providing “a real taste for the tropics.”

"It never rains in Aruba and it never rains at Aruba Steve's," says Correa on his website. "At Aruba Steve's, we feature Caribbean cocktails as well as the best Mojitos in Providence. Our finger-food specialties include Fish Tacos, Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Skewers and the heaping 'Nat cho av'rage Nachos'."
Aruba Steve's has live music three times a week, Trivia night on Mondays and Acoustic Karaoke on Tuesdays, according to the website.
