Find the Cheapest Gas in Bristol and Warren

Rhode Islanders will pay an average of $3.51 for regular unleaded to begin the year, but in Bristol and Warren, drivers can get it for as little as $3.45.

Rhode Islanders will start the new year spending the same on gas as they did to end 2012 as average prices in Rhode Island remain unchanged for the second consecutive week, according to AAA Southern New England.

But in Bristol and Warren, drivers can find it a bit cheaper.

AAA’s Dec. 31Ā survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $3.51Ā per gallon — the same as last week — though prices locally are down 13 cents over the last month. The current price is 22 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.29. A year ago at this time, Rhode Island’s average price was $3.35.

  • Sam's Food Store, 625 Metacom Ave.: $3.49

The range in prices statewide in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 33 cents, from a low of $3.37Ā to a high of $3.70. AAA advised motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up- every trip-every time.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā

Midgrade — $3.74 ($3.55-$3.89)

Premium — $3.89 ($3.74-$4.02)
