Gil Cabral: Member of Almeida Post VFW

Gil Cabral, 85 of Metacom Ave., Bristol, and Diman Ave., Fall River, passed away on Dec. 22, 2012. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Ricardo) Cabral.

Born in Seekonk, MA, he was the son of the late Frank and Elvira (Costa) Cabral. He was rubber worker for Carr/Fulflex and also worked at Collins & Aikmen. He was a member of Almeida Post VFW and was the bartender there for many years.

Gil is survived by his son Daniel Cabral, grandsons Dennis and Kenneth Cabral, and great-grandson Logan Cabral of Bristol. Brother of Joseph Cabral of Fall River, Horace and Archie Cabral of Bristol, and friend and caregiver to Angie and Richard Freitas and Rachel and Melissa Freitas of Fall River, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mary Cabral and brother of Mary Leandre Farias.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 10 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Bristol. Visiting Hours are Wednesday 4 to 8 pm.
