Here are some things to do this weekend, Nov. 9-10, in Bristol and Warren:
The Hope & Main Incubator Program for food service businesses hosts its second Information Session on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9 am. The event takes place at the incubator’s temporary office, 569 Main St., Warren -- the Handkerchief Factory. Mentors from the Hope & Main team will walk participants through the application process and answer questions before the Dec. 17, early-decision deadline. Can't make the session? Bristol’s Stone Church Coffee House at the First Congregational Church, 300 High St., welcomes bluegrass and country vocalist Amy Gallatin and her band Stillwaters on Saturday, Nov. 9. Doors open at 6:45 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at the door. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. The Mount Hope Winter Farmers Market on Metacom Avenue, Bristol, offers free electronics recycling on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Bring your unwanted computers, printers, stereo equipment, TVs, monitors, phones, and small household appliances to IndieCycle of Rhode Island. Anything with a wire! Also accepted are air conditioners, dehumidifiers, & mini-refrigerators for a $10 disposal fee. For more information click
The Pennfield School on Sandy Point Avenue in Portsmouth hosts its 22nd annual Cornucopia Professional Fine Arts and Crafts Sale on Saturday from 9 am – 4 pm. More than 60 professional artisans will display for sale their works of art including woodworking, jewelry, clothing, pottery, photography, home decor and other finely-made crafts. Cornucopia is a juried show and artisans are selected to participate based on the quality and uniqueness of their art. Admission is $2 for adults and free to children.
