Joseph Scolaro: World War II Navy Veteran

The lifelong Bristol resident passed away on Jan. 11, 2013.

Joseph Scolaro, 92, a lifelong resident of Bristol passed away on Jan. 11, 2013. He was the husband of the late Adele (Dubiel) Scolaro and son of the late John and Santina (Pante) Scolaro.

Mr. Scolaro was employed by Carr-Full Flex for many years before retiring. He was also a WW II Navy veteran, serving for five years and later a Merchant Marine for three years as well as an avid farmer at heart.

He was the brother of Josephine Smith, Mary Prindle, Sandra LaRoche and the late Philip and Frank Scolaro and Katherine Duarte, and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His funeral with visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 9 am in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial with Military Honors to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bristol.
