Mary Silvia, 97, Retired Bristol Seamstress

Mary (Sousa) Silvia, of Thompson Avenue, Bristol, passed away on Dec 15, 2013. She was 97.

She was the wife of the late Angelo "Gene" Silvia. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Estrella) Sousa.

She was the mother of Judy Estrella and the late Ronald G. Silvia; grandmother of Laura Jean Relle, Steven Estrella, Rebecca Silvia and Ronald G. Silvia Jr; great- grandmother of Jonathan and James Relle and sister of Elsie Correia, Joseph Sousa, John Sousa and the late Almerinda Coute. 

She attended Bristol schools and was a seamstress for Priscilla Sportswear.

Her funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 21, at 8 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., Bristol with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol.

Calling hours are Friday from 5 -7 pm at the George Lima Funeral Home.
