Mount Hope Sports Schedule, Jan. 6 — 12

Check out where and when the Mt. Hope Huskies will be in action this week.

 

The winter sports season is in full swing, with all of the Mt. Hope High School teams in action this week.

Here's a run-down of the sports action, both home and away, featuring the Huskies.

Hockey:

The Huskie hockey squad (0-4) travel to Portmouth today for a 5:30 pm match-up against the Prout School (4-3), then travel to Pawtucket for a contest against Lincoln High School (8-0) on Friday night at 9:30 pm.

Basketball:

Warwick Vets (1-6) will be in town on Monday night at 7 pm to battle the Huskies (5-3), then the Huskies hit the road for a Wednesday night contest against Pilgrim (3-4) before returning home to host Burrillville (3-3) on Friday night.

The Lady Huskies (1-4) host East Providence High School (3-4) on Tuesday night at 7, then travel to Tiverton (3-1) on Friday night.

Gymnastics:

Exeter/West Greenwich High School hosts a tournament with squads from Mt. Hope, Portsmouth, and North Smithfield High Schools tonight at 6 pm. The Huskies play host to a four-squad tournament on Jan. 12 at 5 pm featuring West Warwick, Toll Gate, and Warwick Veterans High School.

Swimming:

The Lady Huskies (1-0) are at the Bay View Invitational today at noon, then they and the boys' team travel to Pawtucket on Tuesday for a 4:30 pm contest against D-III rivals Tolman.

Wrestling:

LaSalle Academy (3-0) pays a visit to the Huskies' home turf on Wednesday night for a 7 pm throw-down. Mt. Hope (1-1) then travels for Thursday night's 7 pm contest at South Kingstown High School and hits the road to New Hyde Park, NY, for the Herricks High School Tournament on Saturday. 

Indoor Track:

The boys (3-4) are next scheduled for a Jan. 14 tourney at the Providence Career and Technical Center, while the girls (2-2) host a dual meet against LaSalle and Portmouth on Tuesday at 5:30 pm, then travel to New Hampshire for the Dartmouth relays on Friday and Saturday.
