Poetry Meets Art at the Bristol Art Museum

Special Event Connects Visual Art and Poetry in Tides and Depths

he Bristol Art Museum invites the public to a unique program, Poetry Meets Art, on Saturday, September 27, at 2 p.m. at the Museum, 10 Wardwell Street, Bristol.

The afternoon will feature acclaimed poet Vivian Eyre, who will read from her recent collection Ishmael’s Violets, including her poem What the Sea Told Me. Following the reading, exhibiting artists will share reflections on their creative journeys, offering a rare opportunity to experience a dialogue between the written word and visual art.

“This gathering allows visitors to encounter the sea through both language and imagery, revealing how art and poetry together deepen our understanding of nature and ourselves,” said Mary Dondero, board member and curator.
