Vets, Civic Groups Teaming Up for Veterans Day Ceremony
Warren Veterans Day ceremony on Monday takes place at the Honor Roll on the Town Common.

Several veterans and civic groups will join forces at Warren’s Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, on the Town Common. It starts at 11 am.
Warren native Joseph Gosselin, an Army Air Corps bombardier in World War II who was shot down and held captive by the Germans, will be the honored guest.
A collation will follow the ceremony in the Warren Methodist Church on the Church Street side of the Town Common.

State Sen. Walter S. Felag Jr. and state Rep. Jan Malik are expected to give brief remarks.
The Colors will be presented by Boy Scout Troop 25 of Warren.

The groups taking part in the ceremony include the Warren Association of Vietnam Veterans, Warren Unit #11 of the American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Post 104 of Warren, the Warren Veterans’ Honor Roll Committee, the Kickemuit Grange, and Boy Scout Troop 25.
The Honor Roll Committee and Vietnam Veterans Association will give an update on the restoration of the Civil War Memorial in the cannon, which is about 65 percent complete. The memorial will be ready for its rededication in the spring.
