Warren Man, 21, Charged With Stealing Ex-Girlfriend's Car, Cell Phone

Cole Street man faces four domestic charges after argument last Friday night.

A Warren man who allegedly drove away with his ex-girlfriend’s car and cell phone late last Friday night, Nov. 1, faces four domestic charges.

Thayer E. Fayerweather, 21, of 51 Cole St., was charged early Saturday morning, Nov. 2, after he was pulled over in the vehicle in Providence at about 3:15 am, said Warren Police Lt. Roland Brule.

Warren police have charged him with violating a no-contact order, refusing to relinquish a telephone, disorderly conduct and driving a vehicle without the consent of the owner, Brule said.

The woman reported just before midnight that she and Fayerweather got into an argument earlier that night. She described him as an ex-boyfriend with a no-contact order filed against him.

A Warren police investigation confirmed that an NCO was active and that he had stolen the vehicle and cell phone. Providence police reportedly picked him up and took control of the vehicle.

Fayerweather was transported to Warren police headquarters to be arraigned by a justice of the peace. He was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions on $20,000 surety bail, said Brule, where he awaits a date in Sixth District Court to face the charges.
