Warren Teen who Escaped State Custody Turns Himself In to Newport Police

The juvenile turned himself in to police on Sunday night.

NEWPORT, RI—Newport police on sunday arrested a 15-year-old Warren juvenile who had escaped state custody.

Police said that the juvenile came to the station on Sunday at around 10:15 p.m. to turn himself in.

The Rhode Island State Police had issued the warrant for the juvenile's arrest, according to a police report.

The juvenile was turned over to the State Police and the boy's mother was notified that he had been picked up and brought to the training school.

The matter will be adjudicated in Family Court.
