Warren Town Beach Closed to Swimmers

The Warren Town Beach is closed to swimming due to high bacteria counts.

Swimmers in Warren might want to think twice before jumping in the waters at the Warren Town Beach, as it is closed to swimming due to high bacteria counts.

The state Department of Health closed the beach, and Oakland Beach in Warwick, to swimming after tests revealed the bacteria levels were too high on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming.

Beach status may change on a daily basis. For up-to-date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, call (401) 222-2751 or visit theHEALTH website to view the interactive beach map.
