Warren Woman Charged With Beating Man With Broom
Man reportedly had wounds on his face from the beating.

A Warren woman, 48, was arrested last Thursday morning, Nov. 7, for allegedly beating her boyfriend with a broom.
Joanne Sarafian, of 33 Child St., faces domestic felony assault and domestic disorderly conduct charges. She allegedly struck her boyfriend several times with the brush on the end of the broom, said Warren Police Lt. Roland Brule.
Warren police responded to a call for an altercation in progress at a house on Child Street around 11:30 am, said Brule. Police officers were waved down by the man, who showed visible wounds on his face, Brule said.

An investigation into the altercation found that she allegedly bludgeoned the man with the broom, Brule said.
Sarafian was arrested and taken to Sixth District Court to be arraigned on the two charges before being released with another date to return to court.
