Community Support Brings Fireworks over Johnson's Pond for Another Year

The fireworks over Johnson's Pond is a town tradition.

COVENTRY, RI—The Fourth of July is here and that means its time to dust the cobwebs off that lawn chair and get ready to head on down to Johnson’s Pond for the annual Johnson’s Pond 4th of July Fireworks Display.

The show is organized by the Johnson's Pond Civic Association and is supported by generous donations from residents and the local business community to pay for the police detail, fireworks and other costs associated with the show.

The Coventry Police Department usually starts restricting access into Wood Estates and surrounding areas at around 7 p.m. Only locals will be allowed in or out so make sure your guests get in before things get busy.
