Coventry Man Wins $150,000 Powerball Prize
The man said he intends to buy a car with his winnings.

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man won $150,000 from a Powerball ticket, the Rhode Island Lottery said Wednesday.
The ticket, bought in West Greenwich, matched four numbers and the Powerball number from Monday's drawing, which wins a $50,000 payout. His prize money was tripled because he added Power Play. The winner told lottery officials he plans to use the money to buy a car.
Last week, another Rhode Islander won big when she hit the $28,000 Wild Money Jackpot. The winning ticket came from Haxton's Liquors in Warwick. The woman said she planned to use the winnings to buy Christmas gifts for her children.
