Coventry Police, FBI Investigation Linked To Human Remains Being Found

Coventry detectives, FBI agents, and a RI State Police K-9 unit search the woods off Gadoury Avenue for a second time in the past week.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry detectives, FBI agents, and a Rhode Island State Police K-9 unit were searching the woods off Eisenhower Street in Coventry on Tuesday, the same area where the three agencies searched last week.

On Dec. 3, Coventry Police Captain Ryan DeSisto said the initial search of the woods was related to following up an ongoing investigation, and there is no reason for the public to worry. No further information was available. New information came in Tuesday.

Police told WPRI 12 the case is in connection to human remains being found. It is not clear where or where the remains were found, but police have described it as an older case.
