Coventry Public Education Foundation to Host Comedy Fundraiser Tonight (and 4 More Things)

CHS Flu Clinic: Today from 7:30 a.m. until noon, Coventry High School will host a flu vaccination clinic for CHS students, staff and faculty. No out-of-pocket expense. Students and staff who have health insurance should bring their cards, however no money will be collected. Click here to register online or visit the CHS website (http://schools.coventryschools.net/hs/) to download necessary forms and permission slips (posted in green letters on CHS homepage.)

CCFD Court Hearing: Today, Nov. 8 at 9:30 a.m., a hearing for the Central Coventry Fire District will be held at Kent County Superior Court (222 Quaker Ln., Warwick). The Court will hear Special Master Rick Land's third interim report as well as review recently released lists of delinquent taxpayers in the district.
CPEF Comedy Night: Tonight at 7 p.m., the Coventry Public Education Foundation will host its 2nd Annual Dinner and Comedy Night at the Coventry-West Greenwich Elks Lodge (42 Nooseneck Hill Rd., West Greenwich). This year's feature comedians are Scott Higgins, Christine Hurley and Derrick Fonseca. Tickets are $40 each and proceeds will benefit the Coventry School District. This is an 18+ show. Community Garden Help: The Coventry Community Garden, organized and overseen by longtime resident Gail Tatangelo, is in great need of volunteers to assist with fall cleanup. Volunteers are currently needed to help spread fertilizer, remove stones from old garden beds, and plant a winter crop of oats. If you're interested in volunteering time to the garden that provides healthy food to Coventry residents in need, email Gail at gail660@verizon.net. Feel free to stop by the garden across from Town Hall to lend a hand this week, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Toddler Stories and Songs in Greene: The Greene Public Library, located at 179 Hopkins Hollow Road, Greene, will host Toddlers, Tunes & Tales today and each Friday morning from 10-10:30 a.m. The program is intended for children ages 1-3 accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will feature songs, movement and a fun story.
