Postponed: Coventry Proposed Gun Range Hearing
A zoning hearing about a proposed gun range has been postponed, the Town Planner said.

COVENTRY, RI—Town Planner Caroline Wells said Wednesday the zoning hearing on the proposed gun range has been postponed. The reason is the applicant is ill and asked for a delay. The meeting had been set for 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The original hearing had to be postponed from last month due to a room occupancy limit. Dozens of concerned parents showed up concerned the gun range would be located too close to their children's elementary school. The children attend Washington Oak Elementary.
There is no new date yet, she said, but the meeting will be rescheduled. The details will be posted on the town's website and on the Rhode Island Secretary of State's website, she said.
