School Committee Approves 9 New District Appointments

During the Nov. 12 meeting of the Coventry School Committee, 20 teachers and school-related employees were appointed to positions within the Coventry school district.

Certified Appointments

• Sharon Pinto was appointed to the position of .5 one-year-only Library/Media Specialist for the district, effective Nov. 18.

• Aimee Plouffe was appointed to the position of .5 one-year-only Special Education Teacher at Hopkins Hill Elementary School, effective Oct. 15.

• Michelle Malardo was appointed to the position of 4-hour Supervisory Assistant at Washington Oak Elementary School, effective Nov. 13.

• Kristi Bruns was appointed to the position of 4-hour Supervisory Assistant at Washington Oak Elementary School effective Nov. 13.

• Jessica Winsor was appointed to the position of 4-hour RN/Support at Washington Oak Elementary School, effective Dec. 2.

• Diane Hyde was appointed to the position of 4-hour (a.m.) RN/Student Support for the district, effective Dec. 9.

• Lisa Jobin-Mantie was appointed to the position of 6.5 hour RN/Student Support for the district, effective Dec. 2.

• Jason Martin was appointed to the position of Assistant Boys' Basketball Coach at Coventry High School (after-school hours), effective Nov. 18.

• Thomas Berard was appointed to the position of Assistant Hockey Coach at Coventry High School (after-school hours), effective Nov. 18.
