Town of Coventry Seeks Finance Director/Treasurer

The Town of Coventry, RI is currently seeking a Finance Director/Treasurer to manage and monitor a $93 million Municipal and School budget. Depending on qualifications, this position offers a $90,000 to $103,000 salary.

Responsibilities include the administration of 8 employees; investing, borrowing, transferring funds; developing and administering budgets, working with auditors, etc.

Qualifications: A candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred, with 5-7 years experience in a supervisory accounting position. Applicants should possess strong experience in preparing and administering budgets, spreadsheet software, working with auditors, insurance and loss control. Experience as a municipal Finance Director is preferred.
