Cole Middle School presents "The Little Mermaid Jr." at East Greenwich High

Audiences have been falling in love with “The Little Mermaid,” ever since Hans Christian Anderson first wrote about her nearly two centuries ago. Then in 1989, Disney’s animated film created a new generation of little mermaid fans! Don’t miss your opportunity to see the legendary characters from this beloved story come to life!

Out on the open sea, Prince Eric pursues a mysterious voice while far below the sea, Sebastian, the composer crab has prepared a concert for King Triton, featuring the King’s 7 daughters including his youngest, Ariel. Ariel however, has gone with her best friend Flounder to the ocean surface to learn about “Human Stuff” from Scuttle the sea gull.

When Ariel catches a glimpse of Prince Eric on his ship, she falls helplessly in love with him and makes a deal with the exiled Sea Witch, Ursula. Ariel trades her voice to become human for three days. If Ariel does not get the prince to fall in love with her at the end of the three days, she will spend eternity as Ursula’s slave. Reluctantly, Sebastian follows Ariel on land where he tries in vain to get the prince to “Kiss the Girl.”
