Five Things: Election Eve … At Last

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Nov. 5.

EG Election Guide: Not sure who to vote for? Not sure who’s even running? We’ve got you covered, with all the candidates who will be on the EG ballot on Tuesday, links to stories about the candidates, and information about where you vote. We’ve got everything you need … except who to vote for. That’s up to you!

Failed to register but want to vote for prez? Turns out you can! That’s right – go to the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall (second floor). Bring some sort of identification that you actually live in East Greenwich and you will be able to cast a ballot for president (and veep). That’s the only office you can vote for, but it’s better than nothing!

Help! EG Patch wants to provide the best local election coverage possible and that's where you come in – upload photos today and on Election Day that speak to the election right here at home. Today that could be someone wearing campaign buttons, a stretch of campaign signs, a car with a lot of bumper stickers (that's you, Liz!). Tomorrow, take a picture at the polling place – the scene outside or inside. If you see one of the local candidates at a polling place to vote, that would be a great picture. Upload your photos here, or on the Election Guide story or any of the stories that post tomorrow morning.

If you have some news to report – long lines, no lines, exhausted poll workers – send me an email (elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com). I'll be around too, of course, but I'll get only a tiny sliver of the day. With your help, we could cover a lot!
