Trash pickup delayed one day: Because of the Veterans Day holiday on Monday, no trash was picked up that day. If your trash is usually picked up on Tuesdays, then it will be picked up today. And so on. Also, leaf bags will be picked up all month long on your pickup day. If you still have storm debris, contact the Public Works department for pick up: 886-8618.

Strategies for People with Hearing Loss: This session is designed to help the hard of hearing move from isolation to independence. It’s an opportunity to meet other people dealing with similar issues, to learn about the latest technology and about the getting the help and protection you need. CWC meeting Thursday: Citizens Who Care is a group devoted to helping EG kids make good choices. They meet Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Police Community Room. All are welcome.
2nd Annual Turkey Trot is coming! Last year’s EG Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot was such a success that it’s back – on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. It’s a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race in downtown EG. The main event starts at 9 a.m. with a 1-mile fun run at 8:30. Other activities will include crafts, music, and food. Last year, families, individuals, teams, all sorts of people took part, more than 700 runners! You can register here .
