Frenchtown Commons Comes Before Planning Board

Trash pickup delayed: Because of the Labor Day holiday yesterday, trash pickup is delayed a day all week, so if your trash is usually picked up on Wednesday, it will be picked up on Thursday this week.

Cove Commission meeting: The panel meets at 4:30 in the Town Council conference room at Town Hall. Among the agenda items is discussion of rights of way and dredging of the town boat ramp and dock area. You’ll find the full agenda here.

Planning Board meeting: This panel meets at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall. The agenda includes application for master plan approval for Frenchtown Commons, the development shared with North Kingstown on Frenchtown Road. You’ll find the full meeting agenda here.

Interested in Boy Scouts? Troop One, East Greenwich, is looking for a few good (young) men to be scouts. Anyone interested in scouting is welcome to attend the troop’s first meeting of the new school year, tonight at 7 p.m. at the EG Veteran Fireman’s Association Hall at 80 Queen St. “We are a high-adventure, Scout-led troop, with a lot of trips and activities on our calendar,” said Scoutmaster Tony Petito.
