Runners from EG Bring Home the Gold
Laura Murphy remained unbeaten, and the East Greenwich 11-to-12-year-old relay team took first place.
The East Greenwich contingent brought home lots of hardware after the July 3 Hershey Track and Field competition at Rhode Island College.
According to an Announcement posted by the East Greenwich Parks & Recreation Department, Laura Murphy swept the 100m and 200m races in the 13-to-14-year-old division; Ally Carlsten won the 11-12 year-old long jump, and 100m and 200m races; and the relay team of Nick Pomeroy, David Haberman, Nate Nichipor, and Samuel Slaiby took top honors in the 4x100.
