Defending state champion EG Unified Volleyball defeated Cranston West Sunday afternoon, 2-1, in the Division 1 Unified Volleyball State Champions.
The match, held at Johnson and Wales Harbourside Campus in Providence.
Cranston West won the first game, 25-23, handing East Greenwich its first game loss of the season. East Greenwich roared back in the second game, winning 25-5. The third and deciding game of the match was another close one, but East Greenwich won the match, 25-21.
East Greenwich ends its season with a match record of 10-0 and a Division 1 State Championship for the second year in a row.
