Citizens Bank In East Providence's Rumford Neighborhood Closing: Report

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Citizens Bank will reportedly close its Rumford Branch early next year.

The bank branch at 275 Newport Ave. will close on Jan. 22, 2025, but nearby branches on Newport and East avenues in Pawtucket will remain open, a spokesperson from Citizens Bank told WPRI 12.

"We’ve been on a journey at Citizens to evolve how our customers bank with us, and we continually review customer patterns to adjust branch strategy across our network," the company said in a statement to WPRI 12.
