Convicted Pet Killer with Fetish for Death Released from Jail Amid Warnings

"ill prob be tha next serial killer since i have a serial killer trait," writes Anthony Stravato on Facebook.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — A man convicted of killing animals for pleasure and obsessed with killing and death has just been released from jail, and state officials are sounding the alarm that he'll probably kill again.

Anthony Stravato, 25, was recently released from the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston, and the state Department of Environmental Management sent a letter to all licensed animal care facilities last week warning that he might try to adopt or buy animals to feed his lust for killing.

Stravato was convicted of multiple felonies last year for killing and mutilating animals, including a rat and a family cat.

"Authorities are concerned that Stravato will continue this behavior, possibly seeking to harm larger animals," the letter stated.

Stravato, along with his girlfriend, Alyssa Lamountain, "may attempt to adopt or purchase animals," the DEM warned in the letter.

Stravato has also been convicted of threatening and stalking a teen girl over the internet in addition to his horrific crimes against animals. According to police, he taunted the girl as he spoke about mutilating animals.

According to court records, Stravato kicked a family cat to death before cutting out its eye, beating it with a log and setting it in fire.

In a series of Facebook comments in 2015, Stravato, who calls himself Anthony "Homiecidez" Stravato, justified killing animals.

"do you think its wrong that i kill animals but less worse than how ppl kill cows n pigs for meat so does it make tha world any better than i am?" he wrote. " ill prob be tha next serial killer since i have a serial killer trait. im sure i knew it already. i used to watch my cats die all tha time when i was young so i began to be fasinated with death when i was 6."

When asked why he keeps killing, even if he "doesn't like" who he is while killing, he said "yes i do like it i enjoyed it."
