David M. “Drowis” Tanner, 43: Senior Engineer at Comcast

David M. “Drowis” Tanner, 43 of Coatsville, Pa. and formerly of East Providence passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Brandywine Hospital, PA, according to Perry-McStay Funeral Home. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of John W. Tanner, Sr. of Florida and Sandra A. (O’Malley) Cabral of East Providence. David was a senior engineer for Comcast for the last 3 years.  David achieved many of his dreams.  He loved his job at Comcast, he had a house built last February and he and his friends were avid fans of the annual “Ship Rocked” Cruise. Besides his parents he leaves one sister, Sherry Robinson, one brother, John “Jack” Tanner, Jr., two nieces, Samantha and Amanda Robinson and his step father, Joseph Cabral.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, 9 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Today from  5-8 p.m.
