Great Balls of Fire - Earth-Sky.org reports the South Taurids meteor shower peaked Monday night and Tuesday morning, but peak doesn't mean finished. It's still possible to see a few meteors until Nov. 25, so take a little time to look up this weekend, and you may be rewarded — Taurids are known for 'fireballs,' or exceptionally bright meteors.
Spaghetti - Start off your weekend with some carb-loading at the East Providence Middle School's Athletics Booster Club's annual Spaghetti Dinner Nov. 8 at the Riverside Sportsman Association, 1 Sportsman's Drive, 6:30 until 11p.m. There will be food and Raffles for all. Tickets are $10. Children 5 and under are free. Proceeds will benefit EP Middle School athletics.

Providence Home Show - On Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., check out the Providence Home Show at the RI Convention Center. If you're planning to do anything to your home, this is the home show is a good spot to shop for ideas and to price out your home improvement plans. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and kids 12 and younger get in free.
Museum Community Day - On Saturday, from 12 - 3 p.m., visit the Museum of Natural History at Roger Williams Park, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence, to celebrate 117 years of the Museum as The People's University and help forge its future.
