Jaime Manuel Goncalves, 50: Lead Foreman at Slater Textile Mills

Jaime Manuel Goncalves 50, of Goldsmith Avenue, East Providence, died Friday Oct. 25, 2013 at his home, according to Perry-McStay Funeral Home.

Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of Jaime and Maria (Peixoto) Goncalves. James was a lead foreman in the machine shop for Slater Textile Mills.

He leaves two sons, Michael Jaime Goncalves and Nicolas Jaime Goncalves, seven sisters, Valerie Resendes, Gorretti Botelho, Deolinda Linhares, Vidalia Goncalves, Maria Pimentel, Carla Goncalves and Paula Goncalves and three brothers, Roberto, Ricardo and Lino Goncalves.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence with a service to follow at 10 a.m. in Christian Assembly Church, 1494 Fall River Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
