Two Hurt, Dog Killed in EP Hit and Run
The driver was arrested after fleeting the scene.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI—Two people were hurt and a dog was killed after they were struck by a car on Legion Way in East Providence Tuesday night.
The driver of the car, identified as Daniel James, 33, of Door Avenue, was arrested by police later in the evening after fleeing the scene. He's now facing two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury. He was also cited for a traffic violations.
The victims, 47, are married and were treated for serious injuries at Rhode Island Hospital, police said. They were listed in stable condition Tuesday night.

Police said the couple was out with their dog. The wife was on a bike and the husband was walking with the dog when James drove into them.
James then hit a parked car in a nearby driveway before speeding off.
