Woonsocket Man Killed In Fatal Motorcycle Crash On I-95
The death was Rhode Island's 12th fatal motorcycle accident so far this year compared to five last year (between Jan. 1 and July 31).
PAWTUCKET, RI — A Woonsocket resident was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate-95 in Pawtucket Thursday night, state police said. The accident happened around 9:25 p.m.
Carlos Carrasquillo Baez, 29, was "allegedly travelling at a high rate of speed" when he hit a car in the southbound lanes, south of Lonsdale Avenue (Exit 26). He was not wearing a helmet; and when he was thrown off the bike, he suffered head injuries. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and pronounced dead.
The other driver was not hurt.
