Jamestown Historical Society: 2021 Members Only Preview Party – And Farm Tour

Because of restraints of the COVID pandemic, this year’s members fundraiser was  a combination of a cocktail party held on August 26 at the lovely 1927 Sarah Cresswell cottage, which had been recently restored and beautifully landscaped, and guided tours of three of Jamestown’s farms.  Jamestown’s rich agricultural history was well represented in the three farms: Windmist Farm with owners Martha Neale & George Neale with Martha as tour guide, The Godena Farm, owned by the Conanicut Island Land Trust with land trust president, Quentin Anthony as tour guide and Watson Farm owned by Historic New England. All three tours were fascinating with some participants vowing to return on their own to enjoy and explore further.
