No Foul Play Suspected In Death Of Man Washed Up On Head's Beach: Cops
Investigators are still working to determine the man's identity, police said

JAMESTOWN, RI — The man found washed up on Head's Beach in Jamestown does not appear to have been murdered, police said Tuesday.
"At this stage of the investigation, there are no signs of foul play, and nothing appears suspicious," the Jamestown Police Department said in a media release.
A swimmer discovered the body shortly after 7:30 a.m. Aug. 10, police said previously.

The Jamestown police said the Rhode Island State Police, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the U.S. Coast Guard were notified.

"The Rhode Island State Medical Examiner's Office later responded to the scene and took custody of the body," according to a media release. "A multi-agency investigation is now underway, with the Rhode Island State Police serving as the lead agency."

Investigators have since determined the deceased was a white man between the ages of 60 and 70.
"Investigators are working to confirm the preliminary identification of the individual," police said Thursday.
