Lincoln Road Rager Used 'Device Similar in Appearance to a Firearm': Cops

The Lincoln man was arrested at his home, police said.

LINCOLN, RI — A Lincoln man used a "device similar in appearance to a firearm" during a road rage incident, police said.

James Cole, age 53, was arrested shortly before 2 p.m. Monday and charged with felony assault by use of a device similar in appearance to a firearm, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"This arrest was the result of a road rage incident on Route 146 South" in Lincoln, the release said.

Cole was located at his Old Louisquisset Pike home and arrested, according to the release.

Cole was processed at the Lincoln Wood Barracks, arraigned and released with a Third Division District Court date.
