GoLocalProv Ranks MHS Best On Island

Middletown High School is ranked #8 out of 49 schools, according to a new report released Tuesday

Out of the three public high schools on Aquidneck Island, Middletown best serves its students, according the 2013 GoLocalProv report released Tuesday.

GoLocal said it employs a formula developed at Babson College to assess and weight each school's latest NECAP and SAT scores, plus per-pupil funding, student-teacher ratios, and graduation rates.

Of the 49 Rhode Island schools measured, Middletown High School was ranked #8, up from last year’s #12 position. Portsmouth High School dropped to #12, compared with last year's #8 position. Rogers High School was ranked #20, slightly higher than last year’s #21 position.
