A Middletown resident was honored by Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin at the 9th annual Justice Awards.
Rhode Island Deputy Sheriff Christopher Reilly, a ten year veteran of the sheriff’s division, was honored with the Attorney General Herbert DeSimone Justice Award in the category of law enforcement, non-uniform, for his work in developing a division-wide manual of emergency procedures for all five judicial complexes for which the division of sheriffs maintains security.
The Justice Awards are given to individuals and community organizations to recognize commitment to justice.
“A project of this magnitude is not easy, considering the age and complexities of each facility, as well as ensuring little disruption to the daily function of the Courts," said Attorney General Kilmartin. "Deputy Sheriff Reilly’s efforts have resulted in a safer, more prepared workplace for the Judiciary, court personnel, attorneys, advocates and the public,”
