Racers, Start Your... Ducks?
The 7th Annual Third Beach Duck Race is scheduled for July 11.
This year's running of the prestigious Third Beach Duck Race is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, starting with pre-race at 5 p.m.
More than 400 competitors and their spec yellow rubber ducks had registered by Tuesday afternoon to take the line for the seventh iteration of this local classic.
Proceeds raised from the $10-per-duck registration fee support the Middletown Education Collaborative.

Top prize for the winning duck this year is $1,000; 2nd place is $350; and 3rd place is $150. Additional prizes for 4th through 10th.
Racers need not be present to win — but then again, why would you want to miss the highlight race?
Family-friendly activites, food, music, and other fanfare are also on the agenda.
