Viking Riders Host Party for Wounded Soldier, Upcoming Motorcycle Run
A motorcycle run to raise money for Retired Army Sgt. Michael Verardo is scheduled June 9
On Saturday afternoon, Viking Riders and the All Vets Club hosted a fundraiser party for Retired Army Sgt. Michael Verardo, of Middletown. The party was a preview event to a motorcycle run hosted by Veterans Helping Veterans on June 9.Â

"About three years ago we decided to start up VHV and see if we can make a difference in a soldiers life who has come home with combat wounds," said Humbert DeGregory. All money raised will go to Varardo.Â

"We have been blessed so far with sponsors who have been very generous in supporting our cause. An example is Outback Steak House in East Greenwich who for the third year in a row has not only fed us but supplied the volunteer help from their restaurant, including their manager Scott to serve the food"
Details about the motorcycle run
When: June 9
Registration: 8 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Cost: $25 per person
Where: Veterans Helping Veterans at the VFW Post 9404 at 29 South Main Street in Coventry. Riders can meet at the All Vets Club at 9 a.m. in Middletown. Police will escort riders to Coventry. There will also be a van available to transport non-riders.Â
