What's Happening This Weekend in Middletown
St. George's School hosts the Newport Antique Show, plus folk music, baseball, comedy, and a Portuguese bazaar.

There's a great range of events and activities scheduled this weekend in Middletown and nearby Newport — Saturday is expected to be the best weather day, with a chance of rain on Friday and Sunday.
This weekend, the Newport Historical Society hosts the 2013 Newport Antiques Show, including lectures on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.m.
Held at St. George's School in Middletown, the show opens each day at 10 a.m. Admission is $15 per person, $20 for three-day admission.
Ticket sale proceeds and sponsorships benefit the Newport Historical Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County.
Starting Friday, the Newport Folk Festival sets up at Fort Adams State Park.
Feist, the Old Crow Medicine Show, Amanda Palmer, Black Mills, and The Low Anthem's Newport Homegrown are on the packed slate for Friday night.
Another whole day of performances, including Elizabeth Mitchell and others, is set for Saturday, and Beck holds the featured slot for Sunday. Click here for a full list of performances.
Friday passes are $49. All other tickets are sold out, according to the Festival ticket web site. Rhode Island Clean Water Action may also have tickets available. Call (401) 331-6972 for information.
As long as the rain holds off, the Newport Gulls are scheduled to host the Sanford Mariners on Friday night. It's also the Newport Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event for July.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m., with the game set to start at 7 at Cardines Field, 20 America's Cup Ave. Tickets are just $4.
If you're in the mood for comedy, the Newport Summer Comedy Series presents Lily Tomlins on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. [Tix are $56.70 and $79 through Ticketmaster] and 'Real Time' host Bill Maher on Sunday night [$67.70, $84] at 7:30 p.m. Click here for ticket information and link to online ordering.
Starting Thursday night and wrapping up Saturday night, Jesus Saviour Parish hosts its annual Summer Bazaar at the parish lot at 1 Vernon St., Newport.
Often called [humorously] as the "Portuguese World's Fair of Newport," the bazaar features games, Kiddieland, raffles with nightly prizes — and of, course, the food. Free admission.
