Woman Allegedly Attempts to Pull Out Sister's Earring for Car Keys

The following incidents were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Marlaina Cecilio, 31, of 306 Bank St. Apt. 4, Fall River, was arrested on Thursday around 11:30 p.m. after she allegedly tried to pull out her sister’s earring at the Shell Gas Station on West Main Road. A witness called police because both women appeared to be intoxicated and were fighting over the car keys. Later that evening, Newport police were called to a residence on Coddington Street because Cecilio was allegedly still trying to get the keys and leave. The witness from the Shell Station arrived in Newport and identified the women. Cecilio was charged with simple assault.
