5 THINGS: Corrections, Alzheimer’s and Skating

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Tuesday, December 18, 2012:

Are you dealing with Alzheimer’s? Representatives from the state are looking to hear from people dealing with the disease, or dealing with the effects of it in family members or relatives. The session will be at 12:30 p.m. at Peace Dale Library, and for more info, click here.

“Figure skating is an unlikely Olympic event but its good television. It’s sort of a combination of gymnastics and ballet. A little sexy too, which doesn’t hurt.” – Andy Rooney. It’s not quite figure skating, but there is public skate today at the Boss Ice Arena at noon. For rates and more information, click here. The skating gives way to hockey at noon.

Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing me, and depending on the time of the day, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s International Migrants Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren.
