  • Narragansett football has rallied from early season struggles, and now sits at 3-3 in Division III play. The Mariners host Classical (3-4 Division III) at 7 p.m. under the lights at Curtis Corner Middle School. Beating Classical would eliminate them from the playoffs. The Mariners hold the tiebreaker against No. 5 Ponaganset (3-3 Division III), who they already beat this year.
  • URI men’s basketball starts their regular season tonight. Our live chat starts at 6:45 p.m., and the game starts at 7 p.m.

Need help with your book? The “bring your book to life” program is at 9 a.m. near Narragansett Town Beach. Make sure you contact Lisa Tener ahead of time.

Looking for gift options? The South County Artisan’s Market is scheduled for the Fantastic Umbrella Factory from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s World Freedom Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Give the gift of food this holiday season. Children’s Dentistry of Wakefield is having a food drive from now until Dec. 19. For more info, click here.

“We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.” – Bob Ross. The Courthouse Center for the Arts is looking for art submissions for a December show. For more information, click here.

And imagine how our lives would be without it! On this day in 1994, Darmstadtium was discovered.
