Celebration of Life Planned for Late Narragansett Town Manager, Pam Nolan
You're invited to come and meet the family of former Town Manager Pamela Nolan to share memories and celebrate her life on June 3.

NARRAGANSETT, RI—Friends, family, former colleagues and residents are invited to gather and remember the remarkable life of the late Pamela T. Nolan, who died unexpectedly at age 66 just as she was gaining her stride as Narragansett's town manager.Â
Nolan, a gifted public administrator, was appointed in 2013, but as she told this reporter at a gathering at the North Beach Clubhouse shortly after she was sworn in, "It's not my first rodeo."
Nolan had plans to bring stability after several years of turnover following the death of legendary Town Manager Maurice "Maury" Loontjens Jr. She moved to the seaside town and said she had reached the pinnacle of her career after serving manager and administrator roles in Seekonk, MA; Westerly and Truro and Plymouth, MA.

At 66, she left this world with a lot of unfinished work here in Narragansett, but there's no question that in three short years she earned the trust of the Town Council, who backed her when she fired a longtime department head, among other moves.
The celebration of life will be held Friday, June 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the North Beach Clubhouse, 79 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett.
