Cold War veterans in Rhode Island can now receive property tax exemptions, thanks to a new law that expands eligibility to those who served from 1947 to 1991, even if there was not a defined conflict or war.
Gov. Dan McKee ceremonially signed the legislation into law this week ahead of a Veterans Day ceremony at a Warwick elementary school.
