Narragansett Conducting Hydrant Flushing This Week

Residents in the Point Judith Water System may experience discoloration and low pressure while flushing is underway.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — The Narragansett Water Division will be flushing hydrants in the Point Judith Water system over the next week.

Flushing is scheduled to begin Wednesday and continue through Nov. 5, running from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During the flushing process, residents may see discolored water or low water pressure in their homes, the town said. If that happens, residents are asked to shut off the water for a little while to allow flushing to be completed, then run the cold taps on high until the water is clear.
