According to police, they received a report of a disturbance at a home on Bishop Road. The victim, a 38-year-old man, told police that Resendes had assaulted him after getting upset after hacking the messages on his cell phone.

Police said that the victim told them that Resendes had left on foot, with his phone, which had prevented him from calling 911 in his own apartment.

According to police, they arrested Resendes later that day based on a statement from the victim and his family member, who said he witnessed the assault. Police noted that the victim did have light injuries consistent with his account.

Police said that when questioned, Resendes denied punching the victim, and said she only threw a sock at him. She turned his phone back over to police, and said she did not take it intentionally.

According to police, Resendes was processed and then released at about 2:10 p.m.

Narragansett Man Cited for License Violation

Dylan D. Faucher, 21, of 39 Birch St., Narragansett, was cited at about 12:29 a.m. on Dec. 14 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer traveling behind a green Saturn on Point Judith Road near Palm Beach Avenue noted that it had a defective rear plate light. A traffic stop was made near Westlake’s Garage.
